THE BACKGROUND

This world-leading chemical manufacturer headquartered in Saudi Arabia had 32,000 employees across 50 countries, and one clear goal: to become the employer of choice in their sector, worldwide. But in an industry where competition is fierce and talent is in high demand, ambition alone wasn’t going to get them there.

PROBLEM
This world-leader was not considered a top employer in their sector, globally.

SOLUTION
You can’t lead the global talent market if you’re not leading in EX. The organisation needed an EX strategy that truly reflected who they are, and a plan to activate it at scale.

OUR APPROACH

After one of the most in-depth discovery phases we’ve ever delivered, we defined the cultural changes that would create real, lasting impact. We used these to develop three key pillars to underpin the EX strategy: growth, meaningful contribution and well-being. As well as a high-level action plan and strategy, we created 10 ‘mini strategies’ in collaboration with global HR units, covering everything from attraction, to learning, to recognition.

To speed things along, we set up an internal team to partner with owners of key EX touchpoints and drive change from within. We also supported the creation of a dedicated EX team, advising on its roles, capabilities and best practice in a complex, global environment.

THE OUTCOME

We laid the groundwork for a potent EX strategy for this global manufacturer, based on their people’s experiences around the world.
