Zoe G’s awesome Himalayan 100 mile stage race

Good luck to Synergy Creative Manager Zoe Grimes, who is primed like a coiled spring ready for her (rather her than us) Himalayan adventure…

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek. It seems to be happening.

My (The) Himalayan 100 mile Stage Race.

It’s in Darjeeling (you know, where the tea’s from) and so is pretty high. The first day starts at 6,600ft and – 24 miles and a Tibetan blessing ceremony later – ends at 11,815ft. In at the deep end and all that.

After the first day – I won’t be a Height-bore as on the 3rd day we’ve got some downhill. TFFT – there are four days of 20, 26, 13 and 17 miles respectively. Oh did I not mention that? Of course, Day 3 is the Everest Challenge marathon. Whoop whoop. Here’s a film of the 2012 race, looks lovely (except Day 4. And Day 1.) http://bit.ly/1AR6mmM

I’ve been running a bit lately and this is why. It all looks a bit exciting / scary / generally ridiculous / hard / incredible. But I really can’t wait. Honest.

On meeting a fabuously persuasive and passionate lady at a party (nooooo, I wasn’t drinking) I decided the charity I wanted to support is Unseen. It’s Bristol-based and works tirelessly against human trafficking www.unseenuk.org
