Two in one week! Synergy wins Best HR Consultancy at the CIPD Awards!
That’s right, two enormous national awards in just one week! It’s a massive pat on the back, not only for us but also for our clients – including ODEON & UCI Cinemas. In our award entry we described how we’ve helped ODEON define and roll out a new employer brand, improve employee engagement and ensure a consistent and authentic experience for employees at every single stage of their journey with the company.
And the verdict? The CIPD judges said our partnership with ODEON ‘couldn’t have been more hands-on’. They loved all the extra effort we went to including our cinema shifts, in order to really get to know the business.
“Everything we do is based on insight,” explained Gemma McGrattan, one of Synergy’s directors. “For ODEON, we worked shifts in the cinema cleaning up popcorn and serving drinks. We’ve also spent time out on the road with FMCG sales reps and been knee-deep in muddy quarries with our construction clients.”
It’s a lot of work but the results make it all worth it. ODEON has improved across every employee metric, while just one of the campaigns saw employees uploading more than 2,500 pictures and 100 videos.
“Synergy has been a vital ingredient in delivering our Employer Value Proposition (EVP) and all the products that sit within it. They have brought insight, creativity and the ability to match our ambition to go beyond – sometimes far beyond – received wisdom and existing best practice. ODEON & UCI Cinemas
The judges said:
This was an outstanding presentation to the judges, which authentically generated the excitement and energy of the programme itself and left the judges eager for more. The relationship between the client and consultancy was visibly warm and committed. Both radiated pride in their joint achievement. What stood out from all the other entries was the level of innovation and creativity invested in each and every element of the campaign. The business and HR metrics bore out how effective this had been in practice.
