Synergy wins an Award of Excellence with the Institute of Internal Communications for the rebrand of 1610 Leisure Centres.
We were delighted to hear we’ve won a national Award of Excellence for Best Ongoing Campaign with the Institute of Internal Communications for our work on the 1610 Leisure rebrand project.
The project involved rebranding Somerset Leisure and their 14 leisure centres, outdoor activities and sports learning to a new commercial entity capable of competing with private health clubs. We created a new name, brand identity and worked with the management team and employees to create a realistic and tangible vision and values that all employees could engage with.
The brand was launched internally with communications designed to bring the brand values alive for employees, before an external awareness raising marketing campaign rolled out.
Judges comments included:
“Fantastic investment in creating buzzy, lively, ‘creation’ sessions where employees could create the values and select the eventual name 1610. Good top down engagement of the Board and the importance of employees living the values. It looks great! Striking, modern, eye-catching and vibrant – there isn’t a single word of corporate HR speak in the ‘values’ and it’s so refreshing for that!”
