Matt Le Fevre joins us on 22nd May to tell us how to crack the creative industry…
40 years ago, Matt stepped across the threshold of a London advertising agency unsure, uncertain, nervous, tentative. The receptionist appraised him with her cool gaze drawling “the tradesman’s entrance is at the back of the building”. Despite this inauspicious start, Matt was undaunted and he ploughed on, eventually carving out a career in advertising and marketing which encompassed, aviation, international travel, government, designer fragrances, publishing, mobile phones and medical support hosiery.
His mantra has always been, appear slightly less confused than your client, exude boundless and often ill-founded optimism and if all else fails, offer the client lunch….It has, so far, worked. In the planned workshop/talk Matt will share some of his experiences and encourage everyone there how to “release your inner creative gnu” and learn how confidence can carry you a very, very long way.
Matt’s talk will have an element of audience participation along with some stories to illustrate how things may seem to have changed on the surface, but fundamentally, creative problem solving is a timeless skill.
