Encouraging marketing talent

Last Monday, our Account Managers Laura and Sam headed over to the University of West England Business School to host an afternoon workshop for the Postgraduate marketing students.

The session was designed to be interactive and focussed on a real-life case study, taking the students through the re-branding process.

The students divided into small teams to work on various elements of the brief, such as pulling together a draft schedule for the project, generating ideas for the launch – both internal and external, and thoughts on bringing the staff on-board with the changes. They then presented their ideas back to the rest of the group. It was great to see some of the fresh thinking coming out of the session and it was an ideal opportunity for students to experience the processes we go through as an agency.

Synergy then took the students through how we had tackled the brief ourselves before breaking into a lively Q&A session, covering everything from ‘what makes a great brief’ to ‘what it’s like working for an agency’. We’re looking forward to seeing a new generation of marketing stars soon!
