We’re looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our thriving project management team in the heart of our Bristol agency. You’ll be an experienced senior project professional used to running, motivating and inspiring a team of Project Managers and delivering complex marketing projects in a creative agency setting.
Who we are
We are McCann Synergy, experts in employee engagement, working tirelessly to make work better and unleash the power of people in organisations to make a difference on the inside and out.
We’re an agency of our own, but also very much an extension of McCann Central, the UK’s largest integrated agency with over 500 individuals working together to help brands play a meaningful role in people’s lives.
We are also part of McCann Worldgroup, a global agency network that delivers culture-shaping work for some of the world’s biggest brands.
And to add to our awards shelf covering multiple awards for Agency of the year, innovation, and category accolades, not to mention McCann Central’s haul of awards in recent years at Cannes Lions, Clios, One Show, D&AD, LIAs, Golden Drum & Creative Circle Awards. Creativity really is at the forefront of everything we do.
We’re a lean creative department with a growing list of global clients to rival any agency, so the briefs and opportunities will come thick and fast. And you can also help us continue our fantastic run of pitch successes.
This is a client-facing role where you’ll work alongside the Head of Project Management on forward planning, scoping and pricing, commercials and of course delivery across multiple projects for both global and local clients. Your role is a crucial and senior one within our business, after all, you’re fundamental to us being able to deliver the best possible work and the smooth-running of our team. No pressure then!
What we want to see (AKA: The bullet points)
- Experience leading a variety of complex marketing projects across multiple comms channels, preferably in a fast-paced agency environment
- Exceptional attention to detail, applied throughout the delivery of marketing project lifecycles
- Clear ability to develop robust project timing plans
- Experience in successfully managing and balancing the requirements of multiple stakeholders
- Ability to assess project risk on an ongoing basis, escalating issues as needed
- The discipline to see projects to completion by keeping the team both on track and highly motivated
- Focus on project quality assurance – checking outputted deliverables against scope
- Demonstrable ability to fulfil all allotted tasks quickly, efficiently and to the highest possible standard
- Ability to listen carefully to client and creative requests and report them accurately
- Budget responsibility – monitor all internal and external costs for assigned projects
In addition to a competitive salary, we are committed to creating a brilliant environment for all our people. This includes benefits such as 28 days holiday, plus the opportunity to take additional fully paid leave, enhanced pension contributions, private healthcare, life assurance, and much more.
A culture of learning and development is also central to our ethos, so you’ll have access to industry leading training and development programmes, plus you’ll get to work closely with the world’s biggest media partners to access exclusive features and products.
Most importantly, you’ll be part of a fun and collaborative team and you’ll work in an environment where you are supported and developed.
Our commitment to equal opportunities
For us, diversity is a business imperative – one that must be embedded into every aspect of how we operate in order to drive success. Simply put, we believe an encouraging and inclusive environment makes sound business sense.
As a globally integrated community that influences and shapes culture, it’s vital that the talent mix in our agencies encompasses all dimensions of diversity, and that we demand the same of the people we work with.
Conscious inclusion encompasses social, cultural and cognitive differences and cultivates an ethos of belonging, connection and shared purpose. It is the integration of this philosophy that allows us to create meaningful experiences for our employees, drive better business practices with our vendors and clients, and ultimately lead with purpose.
McCann is a disability confident committed employer and will guarantee an interview to any disabled candidate who meets the minimum criteria for this role, so please do let us know when you apply if you are eligible, along with any adjustments you may need to the recruitment process to enable you to perform at your best.
