EMPLOYER VALUE PROPOSITION

Attract, engage and retain talent

Define, create and activate a powerful, authentic Employer Value Proposition (EVP) that will help you attract, engage and retain the right people for your business. A proven, step-by-step approach to employer brand delivered by EVP specialists and powered by creativity.

WHAT DO YOU EXPECT FROM YOUR PEOPLE? AND WHAT DO YOU OFER THEM IN RETURN?

Your Employer Value Proposition (EVP) is quite simply what you expect from employees and what you give in return. It should be:

Your EVP aligns expectations for the employer and the employee, representing your Employer Brand and Employee Experience from hire to retire. So your Employer Brand (EB), makes a promise whilst your Employee Experience (EX) keeps that promise.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN OUR EX AND EVP SOLUTIONS?

Our EX solution helps you develop and activate a human-centred employee experience from hire to retire that meets both colleague needs and delivers on your employer and brand promises.

Our EVP solution helps you define and create an authentic employer proposition and story so you can be that unique employer of choice to attract and engage talent.

What is an EVP?

How it works

We dig deep to find out what’s important to you and to your people, and bring the common threads together in what we call ‘The Deal’. Then we bring The Deal to life with a creative platform grounded in strategy – the springboard for your employer brand.

We create and activate a distinctive, authentic EVP that speaks your truth and reflects your people experience. We follow 4 key steps:

We’ll help ensure that your EVP is seen, felt and heard across the full breadth of the employee journey, informing and shaping a great employee experience and consistently reinforcing your employer brand promise.

WORLD-LEADING CHEMICAL MANUFACTURER

A world-leading chemical manufacturer, based across 50 countries, with over 30,000 employees and growing. Faced with an ambitious 3-year recruitment target, in a competitive and challenging marketplace.

The brief: to develop an EVP that positions them as the leading employer in chemicals, worldwide. Our extensive Truth Hunting phase spanned 57 focus groups, 11 talent segments and 9 local languages. Combined with insight into external perceptions, using natural language analysis (NLA): 10,000 conversations analysed, 60 countries in 17 languages.

We’re now working with 10 global HR business units to bring the EVP to life in moments that matter across the entire employee lifecycle, re-designing each employee touchpoint. We’re also developing a global employee communications and engagement strategy to raise awareness of the evolved employee experience.

Arval

A market leader in vehicle leasing, Arval is well-known in the industry for service, expertise and customer and colleague retention. Outside the industry, brand awareness is low. So we embarked on an EVP and employer brand journey to reduce cost per hire and build their reputation as a great place to work.

Our Truth Hunting included:

  • Leadership engagement and needs analysis
  • Immersive employee workshops and survey to reach everyone
  • Candidate research (perceptions, motivators)
  • Desk research – competitors, online feedback

Experian

With nearly 18,000 employees across 45 countries, we created an insight-driven Employer Value Proposition and commitments. Globally, more awareness was needed about who they are and what they offer. They needed a global EVP that could connect globally across all job roles.

Our work included:

  • Detailed analysis of Experian’s research and global insights
  • Competitor analysis, identifying opportunities to differentiate and stand out from others
  • Creation of an EVP manifesto (The Deal), four commitments and the ‘give and get’ of each
  • External research within key talent segments globally, to test messaging and perceptions
  • Stakeholder engagement workshops
  • Creation of brand guidelines and toolkits to support activation globally
